Master Sword Scabbard from Legend of Zelda

Update: I am working an improved multicolor version. The main body will print in gold and the “leather” parts will be panels that print separately. All parts will print vertically for better looking surface quality. This should cut down on waste significantly and resolve issues with removing inner supports. 

It is almost done with testing. Some minor adjustments after finding issues and reprints.

A scabbard for my version of the Master Sword. The interior is sized for the blade with a 1mm tolerance. Should give enough wiggle room while still holding. I added a sleeve in the back of the top gold piece that can fit a standard 1.5" (38mm) belt. I hope that this will be work for anyone that wants to wear it.

The scabbard is model after the version seen in Twilight Princess. Mostly since there are very high resolution images of it available. I plan to add different gold piece designs once I am happy with this version. A skyward sword version and a shrunken child sized version are planned.

Printing:

This model is designed for multi color printing as an option. All parts are sliced so that they are solid color through to the center. This prevents excessive color changes when an entire layer only need to be one color.

Each section is glued together with a joiner piece. Each piece is a little different. Make sure they are put in the proper order and direction. The scabbard is slightly tapered and does get smaller the lower is goes.
