Pill Bug Snack Ball (print-in-place)

Nothing makes snacks more appealing than serving them from the bowels of an Armadillidiidae! I printed this print-in-place model with a contrasting color for the first few layers to create a nice striped effect when the box is closed. It will stay closed by itself, but with two optional 8mm dia. x 3mm thick magnets (Maker's Supply CA008) glued in place, it shuts with a satisfying snap. (Note that the two little tabs for the magnets are offset to make it easy to pry the box open.)

This model uses 0.4mm gaps between the cover sections. If they do happen to stick together on you, run a thin tool of some sort between the lower edges of the cover sections as shown below to separate the sections. With a little bit of wiggling, you should be able to get all of the cover sections to pivot freely.
