Description
I wanted a pocket clip for my carpenter pencils because I was tired of struggling to fish the pencil out of my pocket when it started to get too short, which often lead to me throwing away a pencil that still had a lot of life left in it.
My clip measures 1.25 inches (31.75mm) from the end of the clip to where the pencil sits in the clip, ensuring that you can use just about every last bit of your pencil, cutting down on unnecessary waste.
I've also designed it with a cut-out that allows you to more easily push the pencil out of the clip. So when you are ready for a new pencil, instead of reaching for a set of pliers or two because there isn't anything left to grab on to with your fingers, you can simply press the old pencil out with your thumb (depending on how many times the clip has been taken on and off) or, hold the clip with one hand and push the old pencil out with the end of the new pencil!
This clip uses only 1.5 grams of filament and prints best with no need for supports with the back of the clip against the plate and is recommended to be printed in PETG for optimal flexibility of the clip, but I'm sure would do just fine in PLA.
Say goodbye to the days of losing or wastefully throwing away half pencils and watch the pennies start rolling in with all the money you will save!
