Update 06/15/2025: I've added a new print profile that supports generic wrist straps for even more accessibility. Nintendo Switch 2 versions are in the works, Check my profile in the next week or so to see when those go live!
A single-handed Joy-Con grip designed to perfectly match Joy-Con controllers and snap into place just like an official accessory would.
While I personally wanted a product like this to casually grind through JRPGs, the intended use is for anyone with a disability that requires one-handed gaming. They're also great for multi-tasking, whether you're holding a baby or just eating some snacks. I'm not the first person to make grip like this, but I'd like to think that it's one of the most ergonomic and well-designed options (and it's free!).
I've designed three versions and I hope you'll find at least one of them comfortable to use. I've found that the Inverse grip provides the easiest access to all buttons and both analog sticks at once but it might be a bit tough to get used to. The other two grips are more familiar, with the flat one making the controller as compact as possible and the angled one helps your thumb reach a bit further. Each grip is ambidextrous.
Boost MeI want to see how well I can make a magnetic Joy-Con 2 version. Boost this model if you want to see that—or if you just would like to support this project.
Please feel encouraged to offer feedback if there's any way I can improve on these for your specific disability or use case.
