Description
This Contour Gauge is 18 cm long (fin effective width 14 cm).
It is sized to be printable on the A1 Mini.
The overall fin length is 89 mm and the maximum travel is 49 mm.
Other required parts
* M3 screw 6mm x4
* M3 screw 15-20mm x1
* M3 nut x5
Screws are used to fix the body firmly in place. The hardness of the spring can also be adjusted with the screws.
There are 3 plates.
Plate(1) Holder to hold the fins
Plate(2) 25 fins and springs
Plate(3) Different size fins (copy if you use)
About 100 fins are needed, so Plate(2) needs to be printed 4 times. After the second print, the springs should be delete. The number of fins to be used should be adjusted because there is a margin of error in the thickness of the fins.
If you want to change the length of the fins, copy and use the fins from Plate(3).
Since the thickness of the fins slightly changes between the tip and the center, the thickness of the tip has been reduced by one layer (0.2mm). This prevents the tips from bulging when the fins are bundled together.
Originally, we planned to fit 34 fins on one plate, but there were cases of molding failure at the edge of the plate. Therefore, the fins were moved to the center of the plate.
Not that it matters, but I misspelled “Contour Gauge” in filename. :)
Oh... The direction of the spring in the photo was reversed. (The protrusion is correct on the fin side)
