Overview

This Magnet Dispenser Pen Holder is a sleek, custom-designed solution for organizing pens and small tools, perfect for magnet enthusiasts. It uses 16 round magnets (6mm diameter x 2mm thickness) to secure the holder and its four detachable magnetic tags. Designed from scratch to meet specific needs unmet by existing models, this holder combines stability, functionality, and a smooth aesthetic. It’s ideal for desks, workshops, or craft spaces.

Features

• Magnetic Tags: Four detachable tags magnetically attach to the holder’s slanted front, allowing flexible organization. Re-print tags for different magnet sizes if needed.
• Anti-Tip Design: Extra rear support feet prevent tipping. Optionally remove them in Bambu Studio for wall-mounted setups.
• Smooth Finish: Improved over existing designs by removing embossed text on the pen body for a cleaner look and easier printing.
• Enhanced Magnet Installation: Enlarged magnet slots for easier and more reliable magnet placement.
• Customizable: Includes print profiles for the improved pen design and STEP files for further modifications.

Printing Instructions

• Recommended Material: PLA or PETG for durability and smooth finish.
• Additional Materials: 16 round magnets (6mm diameter x 2mm thickness).
• Nozzle Size: 0.4mm (standard).
• Layer Height: 0.2mm for the holder and tags; use 0.08mm for the magnet dispenser pen for smoother sliding.
• Supports: Not required.
• Print Time: Approx. 2 hours for the holder, 15 minutes for all four tags (varies by printer).
• Note: Use included print profiles for optimal results. If modifying, ensure magnet holes match 6x2mm magnets. If using the original magnet pen version, disable embossed text in your slicer to ensure pens fit properly.

Assembly Guide

1. Print the pen holder and four magnetic tags (STL files and print profiles provided).
2. Insert 16 6x2mm magnets into the designated slots on the holder and tags, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Optionally, slice off the rear support feet in Bambu Studio if mounting against a wall.
4. Attach the magnetic tags to the slanted front of the holder for easy access.

Why I Created This

Frustrated by pen holders that didn’t meet my needs, I designed this model from the ground up. Existing designs had issues like embossed text complicating prints or tight magnet slots. My version offers a smooth, professional finish, improved magnet installation, and a stable, anti-tip structure. The magnetic tags add versatility, making it perfect for organizing pens or small tools. I hope it enhances your workspace too!

Notes

• Ensure 6x2mm magnets are strong enough for secure tag attachment.
• If using the original magnet pen, remove embossed text in your slicer, as it prevents pens from fitting and is unnecessary with tags.
• Print the magnet dispenser pen at 0.08mm layer height for smoother pen sliding.
• If using different magnet sizes, re-print the tags with adjusted slots (contact me for custom versions).
• Experiment with filament colors to differentiate tags or match your desk aesthetic.
