CHEST: 

To connect the top and bottom parts of the chest,
use a small piece of filament as a hinge pin.
You can glue the filament ends to the hinge to keep it in place.

Connect the wooden and metal parts of the lid – you can use glue if needed.
The wooden lid fits snugly into the metal ring – it might feel tight,
but the print should flex slightly and with a bit of pressure,
you’ll be able to snap it into place.

✅ Important Notes (Read Before Printing!)

⚠️ This egg is THICC.
It’s designed for a satisfying crack – but unlike smaller eggs, this one’s got armor.
You’ll need a confident bonk to reveal your Crystal Dragon. 💥🐉

⏸️ There’s one built-in pause layer – to insert the dragon, scroll, and treasure chest.
If your slicer skips it, reload the model before assigning colors, then slice.
Still missing? Manually add the pause (use the preview to find the correct layer).

📦 Insert order is important!
👉 Always place the dragon first (in parts)
👉 Then the scroll
👉 And last the treasure chest
(The chest may not fit if the dragon is placed too high!)

⚠️ The treasure chest is a tight fit – depending on your printer and scaling, it may not fit in one piece.
You can also insert it partially or leave the lid open slightly for better results.
Make sure none of the dragon parts are pre-attached – they should lie flat and separated.

📏 The scroll insert is made for A4 paper – no scaling.

 

⏸️ Pause Info for Dragon Egg Insertion

This model uses one built-in pause layer, perfectly timed so you can insert the dragon, scroll, and coins before the egg seals shut.

🛠️ How to make sure the pause works:

Bambu Lab Users:
Assigning filament colors before importing the model can cause Bambu Studio to remove the pause.
✅ To fix it:
→ Reload the model
→ Assign colors
→ Then slice
This usually restores the embedded pause!

Other slicers:
If your slicer doesn’t auto-detect the pause layer, check the preview and manually "Add Pause" at the correct layer.

Print them on A4 paper without scaling.
If it comes out too large, just fold it gently and tuck it under the Dreggon.
