Everyone know how hard it is to get the clothes dryer up against the wall and still get the vent hose attached. With this, you can attach the dryer side and the hose side separately BEFORE you slide your dryer into place. Now, as long as the dryer vent and the hose are close, they will automatically attach using the magnets. BOOM!
Use a minimum of ABS or ASA. You don't want to use PLA for a vent that is pushing out HEAT.
This model is for the 4 inch metal dryer outlet.
You can use sheet metal screws to attach the Dryer side to the metal vent or aluminum tape. I put holes for the screws if you wanted. The vent side can use aluminum tape or a band. If you use a band, just be careful not to crush the plastic. I have 3 walls set, but it is still only 3 mm thick.
I used 10x (5 on each connector) 60 x 10 x 3 mm magnets from Amazon and can be found here - https://a.co/d/2D9TGNt
To set the magnets into the print, there is a pause at layer 18. Below is how you should place your magnets. Prior to adding the magnets, I put them together like this (side by side and the bottom row too) I then numbered the magnets from LEFT to RIGHT on the top. When I flipped the magnets over horizontally, I numbered them from RIGHT to LEFT and swapped the North and South on the bottom.
