Description
This is a simple frame for 8x10" sized photos to hang on the wall. Print off those summer vacation photos and frame them in a snap! Simply print the long and short parts (the included 3mf fits all the parts of the frame on an A1) and all that you will need otherwise is an 8x10" sheet of acrylic (these will fit from Amazon), 2-4 rubber bands, and some optional (but recommended) 8x10" chipboard for backing. The long and short sides of the frame simply slot together and should stay together with a friction fit. No glue is necessary though feel free to use it if desired. Place the acrylic in the frame followed by your photo/paper and then the chipboard. Use the built in pegs in the frame to place rubber bands on the back to hold everything in (see the photo). There is a built in clawed slot to hang the frame on a nail so you can level the frame as needed. These frames are lightweight, so you could hang these with command strips without any problem as well. These frames look great in matte white PLA! I hope you find these useful! Happy printing!
Printing suggestsions:
If you happen to try to slice these files yourself, I would strongly recommend orienting the sides of the frame with the back facing down and rotated diagonally on the build plate so they fit. This orientation requires use of supports and I would suggest using tree/organic supports. I have successfully printed these files on my Ender 3 in addition to my Bambu A1, however I've only uploaded the A1 print profile here.
If you like this frame, check out my similar 8.5x11" frame or 4x6" frame!
