Analog Film Loader with Frame Counter

As a black&white analog photographer I often feel the need to shoot only 6 or 12 pictures.
This film loader loads any number of frames from a full 135 film cartridge into an empty 135 cartridge.
Empty 135 cartridges are for sale in Aliexpress, among others.


Printing
I printed with PLA, 0.16 mm layer height, 3 perimeters.
 

Assembly
Place the axle through the axle hole of the Dark Box.
Place the two gear halves between the Dark Box walls and push the axle through the gear halves.  Make sure the axle turns very light.
Glue the arrow/framecounter to the other end of the axle. Use a M6x16 mm bolt to assemble the cranked handle.
 

Operation
Allways handle photographic film in subdued light!
Open the empty 135 cartridge. Use tape to glue the film to the film spool.
Close the empty cartridge.
Place the empty 135 film cartridge and the  full 135 film cartridge in the Dark Box.
Close the Dark Box with the Lid, using two M6x16 mm bolts,
Place the cranked handle into the hole of the empty cartridge. Turn the cranked handle anticlockwise. The number of frames is determined by het number of rotations of the arrow/framecounter.
Remove the Lid.
Cut the 135 film with scissors.
