Pyramid Pro Tool Caddy

Pyramid Pro Tool Caddy 

 

This leather stamp and tool holder is designed to be lighter weight, more compact, and better laid out for the leather worker's needs.  I wanted something with a relatively small footprint that would still hold pretty much everything, and not be just another generic “block." I also wanted something that wasn't cumbersome, so I could take the caddy and my tools to shows and markets.

 

I ended up with this design, which has 132 total holes, a smaller footprint than my big Craftool wooden block, and isn't expensive to print.  The space for the maul / tokonole and the larger diameter holes on the opposite side are magnetic, so all your heavier tools and punches stay stable when you move or carry the caddy around full of tools.  I took measurements of different size stamps from different manufacturers to gauge the best hole diameters without wasting space. Barry King, Craft tool, Tandy, C.S. Osborne etc. 

 

New Version!

By request, I have added a second option. The newest version has all of the same features as the original but with larger diameter holes! This version allows for an even wider variety of tool diameters to fit. You can find the hole diameters in the print profile pictures above. 

   The side hole dimensions are the same for both print profiles. 

 

This image shows the cutouts for the magnets. 

The magnets I used were D10x3mm. I listed them in the BOM. You will need 10 of them. 1 for each hole, 2 for the maul cutout. 

they are a press fit and no need for glue. 

 

Note the magnets are optional. The tools will stay in their respective spots just fine without the magnets but they do provide extra stability to tools that may be significantly smaller than the hole. Thank you for checking out the Pyramid Pro Tool Caddy!
