Upcycled cordless tattoo machine FDM optimized

I made this one to upcycle an old CD drive, specifically the main motor from it. Most upcycled motors from shavers and similar devices run on lower voltages, which is not ideal for battery-powered machines.

This one in the pictures is using random (no markings) 24mm motor I would assume 12V from old CD drive and it runs well even on lower voltage decent hit while running nice and slow for peppered shading. I used components from previous builds apart from the battery I designed this machine for this battery clip it allows for charging and there is a relief for cable not to be in the way. 

I used some epoxy to secure the contacts on the motor to the wire to keep it cleaner and more secure and I do like these heavy eccentric wheels to keep momentum in. 

And I do print these in PETG considering vibrations, cleaning, etc and use 0.6mm nozzle and like 3 perimeters.  This one on pic is actually PLA as I really like that color but don't think it will last as long as one made from PETG even tho I printed it at higher temp to fuse a bit better.

If you do not have a spare CD drive with the right size motor you can use this one or any 24mm motor. I would go with like 9 to 12V motor for the grip with the battery if you plan to use a power supply go lower or higher depending on your liking.

Optional if you do not want to use a power supply I am not gonna recommend any cheap one.  If I had the money for it I would go for Musotoku but I somehow feel if you have money for it you won't be making your own tattoo machine unless you are an enthusiast and then you probably have one already.
