Description

Stable footing for your folding saw horses, no matter where you’re working.

If you’ve already fallen in love with the Folding Sawhorse Bracket design that turns 2x4s into sleek, collapsible workhorses—then you’ve probably noticed one thing missing: stable footing.

This add-on solves that problem with a pivoting foot system that automatically adjusts to uneven ground, wobbly garage floors, bumpy lawns, or that one concrete spot that’s just never quite level.

🧰 What’s Included:

  • A main bracket that screws onto the bottom of each 2x4 leg
  • A dual-bearing pivoting foot
  • Three interchangeable inserts:
    • Spiked (for lawns & soft surfaces)
    • TPU Grippy (for smooth floors)
    • PLA Rubber Pad Carrier (accepts five ⌀9.5mm cabinet bumpers for rubber grip—because not everyone wants to mess with TPU)

🛠️ Assembly & Materials:

  • Material: PETG preferred for durability, but PLA works fine
  • Print Settings: No guesswork—just use the included print profiles (they’ve been thoroughly tested… RIP several 608 bearings)
  • Assembly Level: Beginner-friendly
  • Screws: Use six #8 screws per foot (2x 3” and 4x 1-5/8” recommended for maximum hold)

You’ll need 4 complete assemblies per sawhorse, which means:

  • 24 screws
  • 8 608 bearings
  • 4 inserts of your choosing (or mix-and-match)

Insert one side of the pivot permanently with a little glue for strength. Leave the other unglued if you want to swap inserts later—modularity is built in by design.

🔄 Modularity & Maker Encouragement:

Got a better insert idea? Design your own and share it with the community! Whether you need cleats for ice or suction cups for glass work—this system is made to adapt.

⚠️ Maker's Note:

Design refined through field testing, bearing carnage, and stubborn floors.
Pairs best with your favorite folding bracket and a stubborn sense of DIY pride.
