Description
This frame replaces the black aluminum one that comes with the Keychron K8 keyboard. Not sure if this can be used with the version that comes whout frame.
I've opted for flat sides, like the ones on the HE versions of the keyboard, instead of the diagonal edges.
Choose the colors you want for a better combination with custom keycaps, or add a touch of color just to the sides, printing the front and back in black.
Given the width of the front and back parts, I've had to cut the pieces into two parts in order to fit on the print bed. They work OK but there is an ugly seam just in the middle of the frame. They also need a bit of support removal after printing.
One of the four front/back parts has the Keychron logo on it. If you prefer to have a front without logo, just print one extra part without it.
Please note that if your printer is not dimensional accurate, you will need to scale the pieces, specially on the X axis. On my P1S I had to scale all parts by 100,43%, at least on front and back parts, in order to fit correctly. Leaving it at 100% resulted on a big gap (about 2 millimeters) between the two parts. Keep this in mind if you print directly using Bambu Handy.
