This is my new summer project!
I've always had problems with my beach towel because I move around a lot and end up tearing off the clips. To try to avoid this, I created a very strong towel clip.
This clip is movable, so we can adjust the pressure we want on the towel!
The main body is printed in a single block. To separate the two parts from the main block (the clamp), I used a tool and a small hammer to gently tap them until the two parts separate. This should be enough for the bottom of the clamp to slide along the guide.
Once the pieces are separated, all we have to do is screw in as far as it will go and position the clip so that it doesn't come out and the clamp moves correctly.
I suggest petg or pla+ for extra strength.
For this model, I prioritized strength, so in the .m3f file, you can see that the main part (body) has a modifier to reinforce the screw (and at the same time avoid the use of supports). So yes, with the profile I have passed you can print without the need for supports.
It can be printed on a single plate, although I recommend printing the body on one side and the screw and clip on the other, since I have them configured with a lower layer height.
In this version, the total height of the part is 21.5 cm, including the screw head.
I hope you enjoy printing this design!
