Modular Multi-Port Garden Sprinkler (Gardena/Hozelock Compatible)
Upgrade your garden maintenance with this fully customizable sprinkler system. Unlike fixed-pattern sprinklers, this modular design allows you to manipulate water distribution by swapping, angling, and plugging specific ports to suit your lawn’s layout.
Technical Specifications & Performance
- Connection: Standard quick-connect (Hozelock/Gardena style) with integrated O-ring groove.
- Port Capacity: 7 independent threaded ports allowing for 360° coverage or directional focus.
- Nozzle Types Included:
- Flat Oscillating Nozzles: Create jets that oscillates back and forth without any moving parts.
- Circular Cone Nozzles: Designed for high-density droplet distribution for near-field soaking.
- Sealing Plugs: Heavy-duty threaded plugs to shut off unused ports and increase pressure to active nozzles.
- Estimated Throw: Depending on your water pressure, the oscillating nozzles can achieve a radius of at least 3–5 meters (9–16 feet).
Print Recommendations
To ensure the threads remain watertight and the body withstands outdoor UV exposure, I recommend the following settings:
- Material: Prints best in PLA but may suffer deterioration in direct sunlight, otherwise PETG. Darker colours will become hotter and are more prone to deformation in direct sunlight
- Walls/Perimeters: Minimum of 3–5 walls to ensure the threaded ports and hose connector are structurally sound.
- Infill: Support Cubic or other minimal infill otherwise you will be wasting filament. The infill only needs to support the internal structure as the strength is in the walls.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm (Don't be tempted to increase the layer height above 0.2 mm as you might get some oscillating nozzle duds, the finer layer height also helps with printing the threads.).
- Surface finish is particularly important for the internal geometry of the oscillating nozzles; these have no moving parts but rely on the fluctuating flow in fairly precise channels. Stringing or other defects can cause the water stream not to oscillate. It took a bit of trial and error to get these to print so that they always function.
- Support: Main body should be printed with support to the build plate only. No other parts should be printed with support
- Brim: Oscillating nozzles should be printed with an outer brim only.
Assembly Notes
- Print the main body and your desired mix of nozzles/plugs.
- Crucial: Add a standard rubber O-ring to the hose connector base to ensure a pressurized seal.
