Tubing Cutter

Tubing Cutter for nice clean cuts without deforming the tubing.  i should point out design is based on a print i had a photo of. I remade it from scratch and made a few changes to it to make it more compact and easy to use. I don't know who originally made the design.

 

Update:  updated model to be thicker to fit the more common M4:10mm screws and add a little strength to reduced the amount of sideways movement. 

 

Update 2: I added a case to ensure the blade is covered and can be stored safely.

2x M4 10mm Hex Cap Full Thread Machine Screw.

1x Stanley knife Blade. 

 

I recommend using PETG and it will maintain its springiness. PLA will work but i found it ends up taking the closed shape and you have to force it open to put the tubing in making it more difficult to use.

 

Instructions:

First remove the supports from the print. Then place the blade in the center of the cutter and place the retention bracket on top of the blade. then screw in the 2 M4 screws and you are done.
