1/4"-20 Hot Shoe - Adjustable Camera Adapter

A simple hot shoe or "Camera Light Adapter" to be used to… well attach a light or fill light to your camera, tripod or any other equipment that uses the symbolic “hot shoe” adapter.

The screw threads into the universal and widely used 1/4" - 20 UNC thread that most cameras, lights, fill lights or tripod mounts use. 

I highly recommend printing the “Better Strength” profile as the layer lines are horizontal and help with strength while sacrificing print time (roughly 10 minutes longer to print the adapter)

I included 2 profiles for the “Faster Print” and “Better strength” that are for PLA or PETG. 

I recommend the “Better strength” with PETG for better results. 

Once printed, simply run the “Knob” to “clean” the threads a couple of times, this will ensure there will be no issues threading it into a brass insert that most film and photography equipment use. 

NOTE: This is a 3D printed piece, and as any other 3D printed piece, it's only meant to “Solve” or do a “Temporary fix”. This will not replace an actual metal adapter. If it breaks, well, simply print another! 

Both PETG and PLA profiles have an assortment of lengths for these adapters! Choose the one that best fits your needs!
