RC Parts Tray for 1:18 & 1:24 scale

This is a modular and customisable parts tray for any 1/18, 1/24 or smaller scale RC vehicle. Designed to house basically all of the components you'll use for the entire vehicle, mix and match any of the trays and expand to suit your needs, attaching them using the included joiners.

 

The joiners will slot each of the parts together in any configuration you like, the tolerances are purposely tight, so you may need to tap these in gently with a hammer to seat them perfectly.

 

The large main tray will be prone to warping, so make sure the print bed is clean, use glue on the bed and avoid any drafts around the printer. Even using these precautions, the tray shown in the pics warped slightly once I removed it from the print bed, but it easily bent back flat with just a little force once cooled.

 

The text that has been included on some of the parts is customisable, or you can remove it completely, see instructions on the screenshot below. I've included a test piece on the last plate of each profile to confirm how the text will appear, as I had mixed results depending on material used (the black PETG-CF in the photos printed the text poorly and was largely unreadable in the size I printed it).
