Description

A simple tool for coiling USB or keyboard cables. Insert your wire, wrap it along the grooves, and secure it with the screw-in end caps. The vertical and horizontal extensions lock the wire in place and maintain alignment of both ends. Ideal for making clean, aesthetic coils without heat or expensive gear. Designed for 15cm cable sections. Prints in one piece plus two end caps. Very simple to make and only weighs 10 grams.

Assembly instructions:

Hi, here are the assembly instructions of your new model:"Cable Coil Former rewritten with clarity:
Step 0.5:
Screw in both end caps fully once, then unscrew one. This helps clear out any excess material from the 3D printed threads and ensures smoother assembly later.

Step 1:

To begin coiling the wire, start wrapping the wire at which ever side you have the endcap in place, refer to the image below for visual reference. Begin wrapping the outer printed grooves with your cable. Make sure to leave enough slack between the coil and the USB plug so it can reach your keyboard comfortably. Use the small printed “hook” to help guide and hold the cable in the right direction.

Step 2:
Once you’ve wrapped the coil tightly, begin screwing in the second end cap. Do not force the wire into the hook. Instead, keep the cable slightly away from it-tightening the end cap will naturally guide the cable into the hook position as it rotates. Let the tool align the cable for you.

Step 3:
Done! You now have a clean, aesthetic coiled cable look-with zero stress on the actual wire.
