My wife is an avid artist and recently asked me for a better way to organize her collection of colored pencils. We were looking for something that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing for her desk. After some searching, we came across this fantastic 72-pencil holder design on MyMiniFactory and she loved it.
Â
I noticed that the model wasn't available here on MakerWorld, which has become my preferred platform for finding and sharing prints. Since the model on MyMiniFactory  didn't include a print profile and I was going through the process of slicing and creating one for it, I figured I would upload it here for the community to use.
Â
The version you see in the photos is the one I printed for her, and it came out perfectly using the profile I've included. It's a very sturdy, multi-part print that looks fantastic once assembled. It keeps all the pencils neatly organized and easy to access, which is exactly what she needed. It was printed on an H2D with Sunlu Transparent Blue PETG and IEMAI Translucent Blue/Purple PETG.
Â
After messing around with it for a bit, I ended up using 28x of #8-32 3/8" machine screws to assemble it. Â I actually think #7-32 3/8" would be perfect but I could not find any as that is not exactly a standard size. Â They work well if you screw them in slowly and then back them out a tad once assembled until you get the freedom of movement you like in the adjustable pencil holders.
