Description
As any other Maker, I take a lot of photos and videos of my creations and projects. I was struggling with a way to mount things in a standard way to my tripods and Trexo Converta for product shoots.
I have included the base for mounting to a tripod or another professional turntable. For turntables they usually come with a bolt, I used the standard size and made it snug so it can be screwed through. For standard tripod mounts if it is not snug enough (as there are different standard sizes) you can use a nut to ensure sturdiness.
There are two extensions, a short and long. I designed with these two sizes to reduce how many lengths I would need. I found printing a few shorts and a long great for almost any shoot I am doing.
There are two tops. One for helmets and hats (which I shoot alot) and one as a table top for other models. I may add an additional for hanging items in the near future.
All pieces fit together and can be used interchangeably. Ive separated the profiles so you can print only the parts you need. The threads require it being printed in 0.16mm layer height or less. The profiles use 4 walls for strength and this helps if you print in PETG of something that may end up too snug. If your filament isn't dry (PETG) do not over tighten them. Mine have all fit fine in PLA, however some of the ones printed in PETG can be a bit too snug. Ive used super lube for those to help.
I printed all of these without support just fine.
Make sure to wait for your prints to cool before screwing them together to ensure the threads dont warp.
