Design Concept

This is a very simple corner mounted guide for the PTFE tube. I made it for my K1C. Not sure if it is the same for the K1.

My previous version was a stand-off arm which popped into the Hex panel behind the K1C.

This version can be mounted to the K1C frame corner.

Purpose

Whether you have the runout sensor mounted at the original spot or around the corner - this guide can be mounted either way to hold the tube in place.

Printing Tips

  • Nothing fancy.  Print with standard settings. The only big decision here is your colour preference...
  • It prints in less than 10 minutes on the K1C.

Assembly Instructions

There are two M3 countersink socket screws in the middle of the printer's rear edges.  One on each side of the corner.  This is where you'd mount the tube guide.

The original screws will be too short.  I replaced mine with M3 5mm.  Always be sure not to over tighten and do not use anything longer that 5mm.  You can check the inside of the printer to check that the new screws do not touch any moving or sensitive parts.

And you do this at your own risk.

Please leave a like and post makes.  I'd love to see your pints.
