Description

I created this model due to growing tired of the awful whining noise and under-whelming cooling performance from my Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity OC's (same as non-OC) stock fans and shroud when gaming.

Includes 3 minimal mounting plates (recommend you print these bits in PETG or even better PC due to their heat deflection being much higher than PLA - thus reducing the risk of the bracket softening when it gets warm. (as its in direct contact of the heatsink)

Mounts to the existing heatsink on the Zotac card using the original screws from the factory fan shroud.

Once mounted you can then use 8 standard fan screws to attach the fans to the bracket.

To connect the fans (I used 2x Artic P12 Max) - I purchase a GPU to PWM Fan adapter from Amazon (3 pack) to convert the GPUs 2 fan headers to standard PWM.

Once the fans are screwed in you can then attach the shroud - using 8 more fan screws.

Optionally (as seen in pictures) - 10mm ARGB (WS2012B) Leds can be stuck to the “inner” frame of the shroud and plugged into a motherboard/rgb controller.

The centre cover clips in and can also be lined with ARGB leds and wired to the header on the GPU.

Results:

Using this shroud with Noctua 120m 2000rpm fans - slightly warmer than stock, but still well under thermal throttle (even with the clock @2075Mhz and vram @+800Mhz)

The Artic P12 Max (100%  @3000rpm for some reason as they should go to 3400ish) - Thermals are better than stock by a few degrees on the hot-spot, meaning I was able to push a 2092Mhz core clock. These fans; despite the 50% speed increase over the Noctua's are actually quieter / better sounding in my opinion.
