🔴 Stay tuned! I'm currently working on a display stand — and eventually a full-size version of this skull, which measures around 5 feet (1.5 meters) long! It'll take time (especially with just one printer 😅), but it's coming!

 

This is a stylized but anatomically focused recreation of the famous AMNH 5027 Tyrannosaurus rex skull, originally housed at the American Museum of Natural History.

While modeled primarily off the original fossil structure, I used Alex Chamberlain’s proportional reference as inspiration — a paleontological artist working to make fossil scans more accessible to the public. His version helped correct for natural deformation from fossilization, and I’ve tried to capture those improvements while preserving the visual personality of the original.

This version is intended to print cleanly at small and medium scales, with additional detail and segmentation for a full-size printable skull project currently in progress.

I’m also cutting the final version into puzzle-style sections, both for easier printing and to make it fun to assemble. (My wife’s family loves puzzles — what better than building a T. rex head together?)
