Description
Cigarette case designed to limit access and help reduce smoking gradually by controlling daily consumption.
How I Started Smoking Less — And How You Can Too
I made myself a cigarette case that holds just six cigarettes. Why six? Because too often, when I head out for a night at the pub or a walk, I bring a full pack… and wake up the next day realizing I’ve smoked far too many.
When drinking — or simply not setting any physical limit — I tend to forget how harmful smoking is. I light up one cigarette after another without much thought.
Now things have changed. Every time I leave the house, I only take my small six-cigarette case. And it works. Why? Because now, before lighting a cigarette, I pause and ask myself:
“Do I really want to smoke right now?”
Often the answer is no.
Having a fixed number of cigarettes for the evening makes every smoke a conscious choice. I’ve started smoking less — and more importantly, I’ve become aware of each cigarette I do smoke. That awareness is already making a difference.
If you’re a smoker, I highly recommend trying this approach. Even if you roll your own cigarettes, just pre-roll a few and leave the rest of your gear at home. This simple constraint might help you not just cut down, but actually rethink your habit altogether.
My case is called QUIT Six, and it’s also compatible with the QUIT cigarette model (link here). That means the two methods can work together. I’m now starting a gradual transition: every two weeks, I replace one regular cigarette in the case with a QUIT-cigarette. That means the total number of real cigarettes will decrease over time, until in about three months — I’ll be down to zero.
Try it with me, and let’s see what happens. Maybe this small case could be the start of a big change.
IMPORTANT: you will need some very small amount of glue to assemble.
