With this new design, the MAXi Train series brings order to your collection! This modular storage system lets you neatly organize and stack your MAXi Train and Mini Train models in a customizable tower. Each tray locks seamlessly into the next, allowing you to build a compact, vertical display or a practical storage solution tailored to your space. Every level is designed to fit both the classic BamBam Design Mini Trains and the larger MAXi Trains, ensuring perfect compatibility. Whether you want to keep your dioramas safe, display them with pride, or simply optimize your workspace, this modular stacking system provides a versatile and elegant solution. Like the previous models in the series, this design combines thoughtful engineering with playful modularity, turning your train collection into a true centerpiece of organization.

 

This new design is based on the Mini Train Collection of BamBam Design (https://linktr.ee/bambamdesign). This model is 2.5X bigger than usual BamBam Design Mini Train Collection. You are free to adapt the scale if you want to make it compatible with other designs. In this case, be aware that some piece might be very small. Apply a 40% or 0.4 ratio to be compatible with BamBam Design Mini Train Collection.

Printing:

 

Following PLA Filaments are used:

 

• PLA Basic Black (10101)

Steps:

 

You can configure your storage module as you like, attaching elements horizontally or vertically. There's no limit...

 

For a simple 3 level storage tower:

1. Print once the « Top Storage Box » part.
2. Print twice the « Storage Box » part.
3. [Only for MAXi Train version - 250%] Remove support from the 4 holes on the underside of each rack using a small knife or wire-cutter.
4. Stack all parts together and glue them to stay in place.
5. Start optimizing your space!

 

For a simple 2 level double storage tower:

1. Print once the « Top Storage Box » part.
2. Print once the « Storage Box » part.
3. Print once the « Top Storage Box (Squared) » part.
4. Print once the « Storage Box (Squared)» part.
5. Print 2 short arm, 2 long arm and 2 dual arm parts.
6. [Only for MAXi Train version - 250%] Remove support from the 4 holes on the underside of each rack using a small knife or wire-cutter.
7. Stack all parts together (use arm below each storage box) and glue them to stay in place.
8. Start optimizing your space!

 

NB: Short and long arm are used to level off the tower structure. Dual arm are used to connect many storage boxes together.
