Description
Wall Mount for Weather Station Pole (25 mm)
This is a sturdy wall mount designed to hold poles with an outer diameter of approximately 20–30 mm. I designed it to install the outdoor sensor of my weather station on a 2-meter-long aluminum pole (25 mm diameter).
Material and Printing
The mount was printed using BambuLab PETG-CF. Regular PETG should also work well.
Due to weather and UV exposure, I do not recommend using other filament types unless they are explicitly rated for outdoor use.
Assembly Instructions
Start by inserting the lower clamp into the base. Then thread the screw into the internal thread. Once the clamp and screw are in place, gently push the clamp against the screw until it clicks into place. This allows the clamp to follow the screw in both directions.
After the lower clamp is in position, insert the upper clamp (the one with the guiding tabs) and screw it in just like the lower one, don't forget the click.
⚠️ Do not pre-assemble the screw and clamp for testing purposes, as the clips on the screw will likely break during disassembly!
Wall Mounting
The bracket can be mounted to a wall using four countersunk screws. The holes are sized for ⌀5 mm screws.
I used ⌀5x55 mm screws with ⌀8 mm wall plugs — specifically, Fischer SX Plus 8x40 S plugs.
Additional Notes
This mount can also hold square profiles if needed. In that case, the profile will be positioned at a 45° angle relative to the wall.
