Description
Please keep all these small parts away from children and pets, some parts have pointy ends, and they could be a choking hazard too. Make or use these models at your own risk.
Ever since Dummy 13 got back from it's trek to see Santa last year, it's been talking about how it's job at the stepper motor factory is just not exciting enough, and how it wants to see the world. So when it saw a advertisement in “Weekly Windings” (the trade publication for stepper motor enthusiasts), for a park ranger position that had suddenly opened up on a mysterious island, with a free hat and all expenses paid, it only took 26.3 microseconds for Dummy 13 to decide to pack up a spare battery, and go for it.
Dummy 13 cut me off when I suggested that maybe it should try to find out more about the company advertising the job, which was only given as “Diaboletics Research LLC”. The last thing it said to me as it walked out the door with it's overstuffed backpack, was “please don't mess with my Playstation game saves”.
This Dummy 13 Dino Safari Kit Card includes everything a Dino Safari Park Ranger needs:

The included 3FM has everything set up for printing. The model has integrated supports for the backpack, so you may see a warning about unsupported overhangs, which can be ignored (since the supports are integrated). I printed the parts in PLA to test them, so I recommend using PLA if possible. If using PETG or other materials, please post a comment on how that works with this model. Generally, I expect that PETG will have a bit tighter fit on some parts, but it should also work.
If you print this in PLA, the thin brim of the hat can be “formed” a bit more by dunking it in hot water and then molding it into shape. Of course use caution and don't burn yourself (the water should not need to be hot enough to burn, just to soften the PLA).
You can use a smooth or textured plate, however the profile is set up for a textured plate which will help with adhesion. If you feel your smooth plate has good adhesion, and want to try it, please post a comment on what plate you used and how it went. The frame on this model has been optimized to add features that help hold some of the more problematic parts down, but due to the small features, promoting adhesion is still important.
