Description
Besides looking good in the renders (I tried!), the holder is functional and has been tested. I mention this because looks and function don't always go together.
Actually, the last few versions involved adjustments of just tenths of a millimeter. To make it perfect.
For the smaller holder, I printed a dummy fuse object here – because I simply didn't have the real fuse. I measured the actual dimensions after printing, I didn't just rely on the file dimensions – one dimension needed a small correction.
The retaining springs should be movable. Sometimes they work perfectly right after printing, sometimes you need to press them gently. Each should be able to move safely about 1.25mm without damage, so for the larger holder, the total range is 29.5 - 32mm.
The wire hole is 2.5mm.
For smaller fuses, I recommend using jumper wires – after threading, carefully bend the male terminal while holding it in two places.
Printed on Bambu Lab A1 - standard profile (0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height)
Boost MeChasing the perfect design eats up a lot of filament for prototypes. Honestly, the stress of failed models makes me pull my hair out (and it falls out too!).
