Description
So my DC-DC converter in my Curing machine went bad, It was a really lazy design in the first place no Constant Current Driver for the LED's and the turntable motor was on the same DC-DC buck. So I decided to get a constant current/constant voltage driver and split them into separate circuits. As far as I can tell these are 1W LED's with a current rating of 350ma, four parallel string I know its a bad idea but I am too lazy to install 4 independent drivers and set the current at 1.2A so if one goes out it will only hit 400ma and should be fine for a short time. But I used and designed this to use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F42P23FZ?ref=fed_asin_title off amazon for the drivers and I put a tapered hole in the middle to attach them with hotglue to act as an anchor because hotglue doesnt stick really well to my filament. I suggest PETG or ABS but PLA might be fine. Fits into the pegs nicely. I also set the Voltage for the Turntable at 8V and it was originally at ~13.5V originally. The speed is much lower and I don't have issues with parts falling off any longer and it just seemed to fast to start with anyways. You will need to do some soldering to make this work, nothing hard, I also opted to use some signal wire to power the second driver instead of piggy backing off the original. In theory you could jack it all the way up to 1.4A and cure a little faster, the original current was only around 1A so that's probably a safer setpoint to start with, but it was a constant voltage so not really accurate as they heat up.
