Description

Double sided line cutter with custom sheath for a secure storage and protection.

The sheath includes mounting holes (4mm) for a 3mm bungee so you can easily strap it to yourself or elsewhere.

The line cutter securely locks in to the sheath. To use it, simply pull it out.

The rope doesn't bind and you can easily cut even thicker and harder rope:

  • 6mm nylon rope is cut easily without any effort
  • 10mm PP (polypropylene) rope requires turning the cutter due to its thickness
    • It still cuts it without much effort

I also have a single sided option available here:

https://makerworld.com/en/models/1608885-line-cutter-knife-with-sheath-single-sided#profileId-1696893

Try it out.

I recommend using durable materials such as PETG for printing. Make sure you have your filament calibrated for the best fit.

I used PETG-CF and it holds up very well for scuba diving applications. In combination with a ceramic blade it doesn't dull or rust.

Boost MeThank you for helping me make new designs for you.

For assembly, you will require printed parts and the following:

  • 2x M3 nut (stainless steel if used in the water)
  • 2x M3x6 button head screw
  • Blade of the following dimensions (steel or ceramic)

The sheath requires gluing the two parts together. Apply a thin line of glue (2 part epoxy recommended for durability) and leave to set. In the mean time, assemble the knife.

Press the nuts in to the bottom side of the larger knife part. Add the blade and press the top part over it. Secure with two M3 screws.
