🌍 DiorArtemia – A Micro-Biosphere in a Jar

A poetic microcosm, powered by light, dust, and salt.

DiorArtemia is more than a diorama β€” it’s a living world.

Inside a humble 400g Nutella jar turned upside-down, Artemia eggs hatch and thrive among blooming microalgae, fed only by ambient light and the dust we usually wipe away.

No electricity. No maintenance. No noise.
Just the soft choreography of life, pulsing in a few milliliters of saltwater.

It’s a tiny biosphere β€” stable, minimal, beautiful β€” that invites us to slow down, observe, and reconnect.

Β

🦐 How to use the Living Diorama

No filter, no pump, just life.

🧩 What you need:

  • 3D-printed base
  • One 400g Nutella jar (clean, transparent, upside-down)
  • Artemia (brine shrimp) eggs
  • A pinch of dust (yes, the one on your shelf)
  • (Optional) A tiny bit of spirulina powder
  • 500 ml dechlorinated water
  • Sunlight or soft artificial light

πŸ’§ Setup:

  1. Prepare saltwater
Mix 1 tsp of sea salt into 500 ml dechlorinated water.
  2. Fill the Nutella jar
    Almost to the top.
  3. Add Artemia eggs
Just a pinch on the surface.
  4. Add nutrients
A light sprinkle of household dust, and optionally a micro-dose of spirulina.
  5. Screw on the base
    Jar upside-down, thread facing down.
  6. Place in light
Near a window, or under a lamp. No direct sun.

πŸŒ€ Then, wait.

Algae will bloom. Artemia will hatch. A tiny, self-balancing world will emerge.

No filter. No feeding. Just balance.
Observe. Enjoy. And let nature do the rest.
