My wife's ring rolls got too flimsy and she also complained on the gaps being too large. So I designed this customizable model. Now you can configure it the way you need and adjust them to fit your specific jewelry box. Also you can configure the size of the gaps to fit your specific jewelry type.
Customize recommendations:
- If you want the model to fit a specific jewelry box the generator lets you choose the WIDTH directly, and you need to calculate the LENGTH. Length = NumberOfRibs * RibsSize. You can tune those 2 parameters to achieve desired total length.
- Increase the size of the base if you want the whole cushion insert to go higher in your box or simply put something else underneath
- Adjust the gap between ribs to the size of jewelry you plan to store e.g.: 0.6mm for earrings with thin posts, 2.4mm for thin rings
- Adjust the hight of the rib to the type of jewelry you plan to store, so that it does not fall too deep and is easy to grab e.g. 15mm for small earrings, 20mm for the rings
- If you need various depths and heights generate few objects and chain them
Print recommendations:
- Suggest to download the attached print profile and import your generated STL there
- Model should be printed on its side, this is how I presented it in the Generator
- It is important to make sure it is “spongy” enough, following infill settings are recommended
- For soft TPUs like 85A: 7-10% Gyroid infill, 2-3 walls
- For hards TPUs like 95A: 5-7% Gyroid infill, 2 walls
- Make sure your TPU is dry
- Print slow, 1 object on a plate
