BIG Hot Glue Gun Stand / Holder

The design done by Heerozh was good for what I needed; however, my glue gun is thinner than what the actual holder designed in the model, so the gun was swinging all over the place.

I made a small modification where I added 2 pieces of TPU 95 to the side of the holder to hold the gun in place, will it turned out to be the best upgrade possible for this gun stand/holder. Now I can just lay the gun down (I don’t even have to push it in) and it will hold in place. It will always be held perfectly and most important more safely.

The original design holder ID spacing is 40mm wide, the glue gun I have is 29mm wide, each piece of the TPU is about 6mm think, that made thing just tight enough to hold the gun in place.

• I do think any glue gun with width of 27mm to 31mm will benefit from this (when using the same stand)
• Print at the orientation of the file without support and you will need to print 2 pieces.
• I’ve attached the TPU to the holder with Superglue (Cyanoacrylate), just hold the bottom of the printed TPU aligned virtually to the holder and it will fit perfectly taking the shape of the holder.

And as a side note, I printed the stand using ABS, I think using filaments with higher resistance to heat properties is the safer choose in this application. PETG, ABS, ASA or even Nylon will do but I’ll advise against using PLA
