Description
About:
A depiction of the seemingly infinite task of constructing waterways to the Roman cities.
The diorama uses forced perspective, with the aqueduct shrinking into the background. The base shares projection points with the aqueduct to further reinforce the perspective, and the trees in the background are smaller.
With the goals of making the diorama feel alive the front-most end of the aqueduct is surrounded by scaffolding and a crane accompanied by tents, material storage and a road.
Print:
None of the parts require any support, and the overhangs can be printed using bridging. All the parts are oriented in their intended printing orientation to achieve the best result.
To save on filament changes and enable more color variation, I printed it in light green, blue and white and painted the details with a brush afterwards.
