Description

So here I have designed a UHF Satcom X-wing antenna.

It utilizes 90 degree combiners from here: https://github.com/SatcomRadio/Hybrid_Couplers (Not my design, but highly suggest).

Most of the parts for these can be found from Digi-Key or through AliExpress for reasonable prices. All of the 3D printed parts are designed around using hardware store available 1/8" x 1-¼" aluminum plate and standard off the shelf 2" PVC pipe. The center hole in the top is the exact spacing the elements need to make a proper dipole antenna, so if your elements overlap at all, I highly suggest trimming the tip to the edge. The element measurement is a general size needed for 300Mhz, you will need to still tune slightly, but this will get you close (even a little long for tuning sake) highly suggest a nanoVNA or something like that. With this File you can have a company like SendCutSend make these, or follow the dimensions and make them yourself.

The rest of the parts needed are red (22-18awg) ring terminals, 50 Ohm coax, M3 brass press inserts, and a Type N bulkhead connector.

I printed mine in

This is only my first revision, I have a more rugged version that utilizes indexing tabs in the elements, hence why there is a second hole in the element design, only one hole is needed for this version.
