Description
This body harness has been specifically designed for the DJI Air 3 and features eight integrated contact points, enabling a wide variety of attachments to be securely connected to the drone.
To support customization, several 3D print profiles are included as base templates, making it easy to create your own functional or creative add-ons tailored to your needs.
Whether you're enhancing functionality or just having fun, the sky is—literally and metaphorically—the limit.
To attach the harness to the drone you will need:
To attach other items there are an additional 8 contact points, these are in pairs, two on top, two on the bottom and two on each side, depending on your configuration you will need:
For best results, PLA is recommended over PETG for printing the harness and attachments. While PETG is often chosen for its flexibility and temperature resistance, PLA is typically stiffer and more rigid, which helps maintain structural integrity—especially important when securing attachments that may experience wind resistance or vibration during flight.
For added grip and to help keep the harness securely in place during flight, you can insert a thin piece of non-slip matting (such as drawer liner or tool grip mat) between the harness and the drone’s body. This can be especially helpful if you're flying with heavier or off-center attachments. Just ensure the material is lightweight, doesn't obstruct sensors or vents, and is securely trimmed to fit the drone's contours.
Use this body harness and any attachments at your own risk. Always ensure that added weight or drag does not interfere with flight stability or safety. Make sure you are properly trained, comply with your local aviation regulations, and are registered to fly your drone where required. Fly responsibly and with awareness of your surroundings.
After thorough testing, one critical warning remains: do not obstruct the downward-facing sensors on the bottom of the drone. Blocking these sensors will prevent the drone from accurately detecting its altitude, which can result in uncontrolled climbing and unsafe flight behavior. Always ensure these sensors remain fully clear and unobstructed.
