Description
Based on the Mini Easel, I have now designed this highly customizable version of an easel. The model uses also Print-in-Place Technology and do not need any support structures, when printing.
There are various parameters that can be used to change the size of the easel without compromising the print-in-place technique.
| Parameter | Default Value | Range of Values* | Meaning of the Parameters |
|---|---|---|---|
| pEaselWidth | 40 mm | ≥ 20 mm and ≤ 320 mm | Width of the easel stand |
| pEaselHeight | 60 mm | ≥ 26 mm and ≤ 350 mm | Height of the easel stand |
| pLegWidth | 4 mm | ≥ 2.8 mm and ≤ 1/5 of EaselWidth | Width of the easel legs |
| pLegAngle | 20 deg | ≥ 17.5 deg and ≤ 22.5 deg | Angle between the legs when easel is upright |
| pTrayWidth | 40 mm | ≥ EaselWidth and ≤ 320mm | Width of the tray |
| pTrayThickness | 3 mm | ≥ 1.6 mm and ≤ LegWidth | Thickeness of the tray |
| pTrayDepth | 12 mm | > pLegWidth and ≤ 1/3 of EaselHeight | Depth of the tray |
| pTrayPos | 12 mm | > 0 mm and ≤ 1/2 of EaselHeight | Position from floor to bottom edge of shelf |
| pTrayAngle | 0 deg | > 0 mm and ≤ LegAngle | Angle between tray and legs Using the same value as for LegAngel results in the tray being positioned horizontal while the easel is upright |
| pScaling | 1 | ≥ 0.5 and ≤ 5.0 | Using Scaling will result in up- or downscaling of the above values and is the easiest way to change the size of the easel |
* Adjusting the model with values outside the range results in the maximum or minimum possible values being used automatically. This prevents the structures of the adjusted model from being destroyed.
A tolerance test is recommended to determine printing accuracy. This is a simple and quick test that only requires 2g of filament: |
