Description
A simple personalised flexible TPU luggage / suitcase label.
I'm off for a little holiday in a few days time and while I could have bought a label for my suitcase, in case it gets lost during travel, since I have a 3D printer, why not make one!
Well having gone through the process of making it I might as well post it, in case anyone else would find it useful.
For anyone not familiar with how to personalise the text. Open the model into Bambu studio, double click on a line of text and the little window should pop up allowing you to change the text for your own.
I may have made it to label my suitcase, but it could be used for labelling pretty much anything and could be scaled up or down to suit whatever it is being used for.
Yes I did have to print an extra one with random details on it when I realised it wouldn't really be a good idea to have a picture of one with my own details on here.
They are printed in TPU 95A on a 0.4mm nozzle, with a pause set in the print profile at layer 7 when it is time to change the filament to the text colour.
If scaling up or down, avoid scaling the Z axis dimension, or change the pause point corresponding to the new layer where the transition to text happens.
When attaching to your suitcase, insert the little end diagonally into the square hole, give it a little wiggle and a pull and it'll pop right though. I have made this a reasonably secure fit to avoid it coming apart and falling off while the suitcases are handled, so if you struggle to grip the little end a pair of small pliers may be of help. I have been able to remove the tags without too much difficulty and without damaging them after use.
One last note : As I'm sure most already know, make sure your TPU is dried before use, else it'll string like a b***h between letters!
