Description

After taking apart my A1’s extruder for the second time, I realized how easy it is to mix up the different screws. There are several types, and they each need to go in the right spot. So, I designed this screw map tool to keep everything organized.

The layout matches the front view of the A1 and A1 Mini extruder, and each hole corresponds to a specific screw location. As you remove each screw, just place it in the matching hole on the tool. This way, you won’t lose track or accidentally swap screws.

Includes spots for:

  • All front screws
  • The 3 heat block screws
  • Side screw
  • Top screws holding PTFE tubes
  • Filament cutter blade, with the sharp edge facing inward for safety
  • PTFE tube release tool, the nozzle-shaped tip of the model is designed to press down the push-fit collet and release the tubes easily

Use the nozzle-shaped tip first to disconnect the PTFE tubes, then use the tool to organize your screws during the rest of the disassembly.

I’ve found this tool makes extruder maintenance much easier and less stressful. I’ve also included the STEP file in case you want to modify the design or add something I missed. If you have suggestions or notice a missing screw hole, feel free to leave a comment.
