Description
Inspired by the ongoing CyberBrick Contest, I’ve built the perfect starting theme:
LOGISTICS PROTOCOL - where the MiniMechs deliver themselves into the CyberBrick universe.
The idea: Instead of creating an entirely new world, my Mechs seamlessly connect to an existing one…. bringing along everything needed for immersive scenes and fun play.
⚙️ Scale & Compatibility
This set is designed at a 1:20 scale. The Euro pallets are fully compatible with the CyberBrick forklift and overall, the proportions fit perfectly into the existing universe.
Each MiniMech fits into a crate specifically made for its class…. perfect for storage, gifting, or play!
🧠 Design & Handling
MiniMechs are well-balanced, highly poseable, and hold their stance even in dynamic or extreme positions.
The joints are intentionally tight to ensure long lasting functionality, even with standard PLA.
⚠️ Important:
After assembly, gently move the joints back and forth to loosen them up.
Do not apply force!
The images shown feature the T-Class model.
The other two Mechs are assembled the same way…. only their designs differ
My goal was to ensure the joints remain functional over time…. even when printed in basic PLA.
To achieve this, I made the ball joints at the hips and shoulders especially tight and primarily printed them using standard PLA Basic.
I also tested PLA Matte and PLA+ from Sunlu. With PLA+, I noticed some expansion…. the joints were extremely difficult to assemble and so stiff afterward that one of them actually tore when I tried to move it.
PLA Matte performed well overall, except for the hands, where the joints felt slightly looser compared to PLA Basic.
So far, the best results have clearly come from PLA Basic. I haven’t tested other PLA types like translucent variants, or PETG…. but honestly, if it works with PLA, PETG should be even more durable. 😄
If you've seen my recent community posts, you’ll know I’ve been playing with the MiniMechs extensively to test their durability.
So far, they’ve only shown minimal wear in the joints, they can still hold poses well and remain fully functional!
How long they’ll last in the long run?
Hard to say just yet 🤷♂️ but I’ll keep observing and report back.👍😎
The Jersey barrier has slots for 6×2 mm magnets.
Simply press them in firmly - they should stay in place on their own.
⚠️ Important:
Make sure to insert the magnets in the correct orientation!
If they’re reversed, the barriers will repel each other and removing the magnets without damaging the barrier will be extremely difficult.
