Filament Clip AMS 1 + 2 optimized - Bambu spools

Minimal filament clip for Bambu spools and a must-have for the AMS. Relieves motor strain and prevents feeding issues by never letting the clip or filament to collide with the AMS. No collision with the spool guide fins or rollers and keeps all filament within spool interior so it won't interfere with AMS structure and add resistance. The AMS 1 spool guide fins seem to be about the same. AMS 2 in picture.

 

Install plug on one side half way in while angled like 45°, then rotate and insert other side.

Make sure the pins are pressed in fully. Clip should sit flush with spool. Some need extra help. Use Bambu scraper shaft or similar.

 

Recommending heat resistant filaments if you're going to use it in any dryer. OBS! Freshly cleaned buildplate with (soap + water + sponge), not isopropyl alcohol. Textured PEI plate recommended alternatively BQ Panda Glacier. For high temp filaments, also recommended to pre-heat the chamber to above 40c.

Printed in Bambu ASA but aslo tested with PLA. Tested in AMS 2.

For ASA I had plate at 105c throughout and nozzle at 275 first layer.
