Description
Ok this one I wanted to do for a long time. After decades of thinking I could not get back my Star Wars action figures from when I was a kid in the late 70's and 80's, thanks to the internet and software like Blender, plus of course my P1S 3D printer. The impossible is possible. This is my first in this series, CHEWBACCA, after many hours on the internet looking at photos of the original 1977 release of the figures, and many hours in blender sculpting and figuring out the best way to make the arms and legs move just like the real thing, I think I got it. It even feels like the real thing. And not only is it the figure itself but it also has his bowcaster that fits on his arm just like the real thing. If only they had 3D printers when I was a kid, I would barrow my friends toys and make my own off of it. never worrying about loosing the accessories, all I need to do is print up another one. When you print this remember to use 100% infill and supports. Be very careful taking off the supports on the bowcaster because the part is so small that it can break off in your hand very easy. I used Bambu Labs PLA basic brown for the body and white and blue for the color version. I did not color the pouch because It would use a lot of time and waste to color everything on the printer. So I only colored the small things that I can't do with my hand and eyes anymore. the pouch is just black and the strap is just some white dots. I have put in some pictures of the real thing as a reference for you to match the painting. You need to lay it down face first on a flat surface and put the arms and legs in place, then put a drop of super glue on the inside at the top and bottom ( make sure to not put so much that it glues the working parts together ) then you need to put the back on and clamp it shut so that it cuts down on the seam. while the glue is Hardening try to move the arms and legs around to keep them free of any glue that might have gotten into the joints. If you like what you see. please follow me and give what print you like a like and a boost. Let me know if you have any ideas of what you would like me to make, and I will try to make it. Thank you for looking at my design. If you like what I make and would like to support me so that I can make more models like this, you can always buy me a coffee at www.buymeacoffee.com/LindsayReplica I would appreciate any support you can give, no matter how large or small. Thank you very much.
