Description
This is a Jet Powered RC Car I made for a science competition. Took around 7 months to make from scratch. Has estimated top speed of about 210 km/h (130mph).
I ran the car again and managed to achieve 104 km/h (64mph) at 40% throttle.

List of Materials:
RC car gyro (highly recommend)
4mm Carbon rod (300mm)
80mm EDF
120 to 100A ESC (thrust reversing prefered if not using parachute to slow down)
12-16 inch model rocket parachute (2)
6S LiPo Battery 2200 to 4000 mAh (I used 2 3S batteries in series)
Model aircraft or model car transmitter and receiver (whichever one fits you)
2Mx4mm Grub screw (4)
2Mx10mm Self Taping Screws (4)
3Mx15mm Bolts (4)
3Mx10mm Bolts and Nuts (12)
5Mx10mm bolts and nuts (12)
4Mx6mm bolts and nuts (6)
4Mx10mm bolts (2)
1.5mm rc plane pushrods
CA glue or superglue
10kg fishing line (40cm)
fishing swivel
20kg servo
9g servo (2)
conventional kitchen use rubber bands
screw eyes 4mm interior (2)
MR85ZZ 8x5x2.5mm Bearings (4)
22x8x7 ball bearings (4) (or you can pick you own bearings that fit in the housing)
8mm steel or carbon rod (or pick one that fits your bearings)
fibreglass tape
if you wish you can print the body shell from PLA Aero, ASA Aero or any LWPLA. take into note that this will reduce strength as the body shell houses the EDF
NOTE: Please install a device to slow down your car (thrust reversing or parachute) before running. Test in an open space with 300m of room or more.
