Description

Simple, functional, and safer!
This basic chainring guard is designed to protect Β legs from grease and sharp teeth on the chainring of an Author Orbit bike (or similar models). The original plastic cover broke, so I created this as a quick replacement. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done!

πŸ”§ Key Features:

βœ” Basic protection – Prevents chainring-related scrapes and grease stains.
βœ” Universal fit – May work for other bikes with similar chainring sizes (check dimensions!).
βœ” Easy to install – Uses 3x M4x10 screws (threads self-tap into 3.4mm holes – go gently!).
βœ” Washers included – Helps with alignment and prevents over-tightening.

⚠ Note:

  • Not a high-end part – Designed for practicality.
  • No pre-threaded holes – Screws tap themselves (use a longer screw + nut if threads strip).
  • Measure first! A sketch with critical dimensions is included – verify fit before printing.

πŸ–¨οΈ Print & Install Tips:

  • Material: PLA is good enough
  • Layer height: 0.2mmΒ
  • Supports: Not needed.
  • Installation:
    1. Hand-tighten screws first to avoid stripping.
    2. Align the guard with the chainring.
    3. Add washers to fine-tune spacing.

πŸš€ Why Download?

  • Lost/broken original cover? This might save your pants (and shins).
  • Customizable? Need a different size? Message me – I’ll adjust the model!

πŸ‘‰ DOWNLOAD if it fits your needs.
πŸ‘‰ BOOST to help others find this humble but handy fix.

(P.S. If you print it, share a photo! )
