About:
Wanting Nanoleafs for a long time now, I started to look into 3d printed options, however none of them seemed easy to build or efficient during the process, requiring tedious assembly or lots of material or just looked unprofessional. That's why I created Prismatrix, solving all the problems. It is thin, made of a single part, easy to assembly with simple connectors, and designed in a way to prevent bleed from the LED strips.
BOM:
- 4m of LED strip (if you want to go further to control each panel separately you will need an adressable ledstrip)
- Double sided tape
- You can use white filament for RGB strips or translucent for White Strips
Instructions:
- Print the number of panels you want
Connect them using the provided connectors
- Break off the walls between the connected pieces (used to prevent bleed to outside when no pieces connected)
Route the LED strip throughout (you need 60cm x the number of panels you want at least)
- Place double sided tape on the back and stick onto any wall
Printing Guide:
- My recommendation is to use my profile if you can
- 0.2 mm layer height
- 3 top and bottom layers
- 0.4 nozzle and wall thickness
- 15% infill
- Paint the bottom 2mm white if you want a two color effect and have an ams
