The 2D to 3D Puzzle Cube – TPU & PLA is an interlocking brain teaser that starts as a 2D layout and transforms into a 3D cube. Original idea by an educational puzzle concept from Joan Cotter, originally designed in TPU, then adapted for PLA to offer different solving experiences — this version is fully designed for 3D printing in both flexible TPU and rigid PLA, each offering a unique solving feel and difficulty.

TPU version: Flexible, forgiving, and fun to handle — perfect for fidgeting and tactile play.

PLA version: Crisp, rigid fit with a precise snap — great for those who want a sharper challenge.

Both versions are 100% functional puzzles, not add-ons — each was adapted for optimal fit and printability.

Important: The TPU and PLA models are different designs tailored for their specific materials and printing properties. Printing the TPU model in PLA or the PLA model in TPU will result in poor fit or failure to assemble.
