Ventilated bike grips
Riding your mountainbike becomes a breeze with these HEX grips!
I have been using these bike grips for 6 years now on my mountainbike and they are awesome! TPU is a very durable and comfortable material and 3D printing allows to make them breathable. When riding like a maniac these grips make sure that my palms keep dry and cool giving me more grip and control. They are lovely squishy and you can really feel the breeze through the grips.
The grips that I have been riding for 6 years are made from NinjaFlex, the Bambu 90A is firmer and the Bambu 85A is softer, I would recommend the latter but it is harder to print.
I have printed both the 90A and 85A on my Bambu A1 with a 0.4mm nozzle and you can find the print profiles attached. The 85A worked for me but it is NOT recommended by Bambu, so proceed at your own risk and results may vary. There are A1 mods out there to make it more compatible with softer materials but I used a stock machine.
I have not yet printed it on any other Bambu but if you have a profile for another machine or TPU feel free to post it and keep the points reward.
The 90A version is a tight fit and might need some denatured alcohol to get them on, the 85A is softer and therefore slides on easier. I advise to print one at a time because of stringing and possible failures since TPU is just hard to print. But oh so awesome if you succeed!
Other than that,
Happy printing and keep on riding!
