Description
This 3D model is a sleek, modern lamp inspired by the geometry of a honeycomb. Its design features interconnected hexagonal frames, forming a minimalistic yet eye-catching pattern. The central structure is built to house an LED strip, delivering vibrant, multi-coloured lighting effects.
The base is circular, with a built-in groove to hold an additional LED ring for subtle underlighting. Internal space is allocated for neat cable routing, making assembly straightforward and clean. The model is fully optimised for 3D printing, with components designed for an easy, glue-free fit.
For the best visual effect, use a semi-opaque filament—I used ePLA-HS White. To assemble, press the LED strip into the groove of the central part, then snap the two halves together. For the base, simply fit the LED ring into its dedicated channel.
I used FCOB RGBW IC LEDs (WS2814/SK6812 Addressable, 784 LEDs, 10 mm, DC 24 V), with lighting effects controlled via the WLED app and controller.
The download includes four print plates, allowing you to choose between single-colour or multi-colour printing, depending on your printer’s capabilities and design preferences.
